 page_3_img_3Soil Analysis

Analysis of Soil is changing as new technology emerges. Now, more than ever, soil is being analyzed for not only chemical properties, but also biological and physical characteristics. Geo-referenced soil points as well as consistency of depth increases the accuracy of your information and allows for a perfect comparison with your future soil tests.

Soil Report

Our soil report adds a colourful interpretation so you can visualize the limitations in your soil. Knowing how your recommendations compare to crop removal will help you understand how it will impact your soil. We also offer combined soil and plant tissue reports to improve interpretation of your results.

Soil Report

Soil Basic – $17

Includes: Organic Matter, Available Phosphorus (Bray and Bicarb), Exchangeable Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Soil pH, Buffer pH, Cation Exchange Capacity, Percent Base Saturation of Cation Elements

Soil Complete – $30

Includes: Organic Matter, Available Phosphorus (Bray and Bicarb), Exchangeable Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Soil pH, Buffer pH, Cation Exchange Capacity, Percent Base Saturation of Cation Elements

Plus Package: Sulfur, Zinc, Manganese, Boron

Soil Nitrate – $17

Standard Soil Nitrate Test

Soil Biological – $25

Determine the biological activity in your soil. Soil studies have shown the utility of testing soil respiration as a means to gauge active soil carbon, soil microbial biomass, and potential release of nutrients for crop production.

Soil Labile Amino Nitrogen – $25

Used to assess potential nitrogen mineralization by measuring a pool of organic N present in soil.

Precision Sampling – $75/Hour

Geo-referenced soil points as well as consistency of depth increases the accuracy of your information and allows for a perfect comparison with your future soil tests. Every soil sample we take will be geo-referenced with our auto sampler we can ensure consistency of depth that can be hard to obtain.

 page_3_img_2Plant Tissue Analysis

Plant tissue analysis is an important diagnostic tool. Measuring nutrients in plant tissue allows you to “ask the plant how it feels” about growing conditions and nutrient availability. There is more to a plant than nutrients. By looking at carbohydrate fractions there is an opportunity to further characterize what a healthy productive plant is.

Plant Tissue Report

Interpretation is everything so we provide DRIS (Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated System) as well as the industry standard critical level approach. Our soil report adds a colour coded interpretation so you can visualize the limitations in your soil. We also offer combined soil and plant tissue reports to improve interpretation of your results.

Plant Tissue

Plant Tissue Standard – $30

Includes: Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Sulfur, Sodium, Iron, Aluminum, Manganese, Boron, Copper, Zinc

Plant Tissue Carbohydrates – $50

Includes: Sucrose, Starch, Cellulose, Hemicellulose, Lignin

Plant Tissue Carbohydrates Individual

Sucrose – $15

Starch – $17

Cellulose – $11

Hemicellulose – $11

Lignin – $15

Nutrient Tracking Report

For those looking to take track the nutrient status over a growing season taking many plant tissue samples from the same location.

Nitrogen Status Wheat

Mapping and Data Analysis – $45/Hour

Mapping services are available to print off yield maps, create zones for sampling and to use your data to find the biggest opportunities to improve your farm.

Yield Map 1

Time Lapse Video – $250

How did your crop look on July 15th? Ever wish you could go back and take a look? Now you can with an in season time lapse video. See how weather conditions and events affect your crop. We provide the camera a measuring stick to track crop height and an edited video at the end of the season. Every frame is stamped with the date so you can pause the video at a specific date.

Time Lapse

Environmental Monitoring

Includes monitoring of air and soil properties such as temperature, moisture, humidity, and light. This  can be combined with data from soil testing (nitrate), plant tissue (nitrate, nitrogen, NBI), time-lapse photography to create powerful data on limiting factors and farm management.
